Rev your engines

Get your (plane / car or motorbike) motor running and come down to the Springs Airfield on August 2.

The Springs Advertiser and African Reporter staff are hard at work putting the final touches on the preparations for our Wheels and Wings fun day taking place at the Springs Airfield on August 2.

With one week to go it’s time to share the programme of artists and events which will keep you entertained throughout the day.
There will be over 72 food and flea market stalls as well as two entertainment stages and a host of activities to enjoy.

Main stage

  • 10am – Opening and welcome by our MC HunTer
  • 10.10am – Ilana Grobbelaar
  • 10.45 – Cancer City Casting kofifi dancers.
  • 11.15am – Daniela Diogo
  • Noon – Reynolds Race prizegiving
  • 12.30pm – Oliver Muller
  • 1.15pm – JJ Stephans
  • 2pm – HunTer performing with The Sounds Of HunTer Band
  • 3.15pm – George Loudan Band
  • 4pm – HunTer closes the day with her smooth vocals.

Coca-Cola fun truck
Local DJs will be on the decks throughout the day.

Out and about
There is a host of other entertainment and fun for everyone.

  • Classic cars on display
  • Beer tent hosted by Springs Rotary Club
  • Jumping castle for the children
  • Donate blood at the SANBS tent
  • Harvards and other planes will be in the air throughout the day.
  • Strongman Alan Chapman.
