Ignition climbs to the top

Mandla 'Ignition tlk' Sogcwayi (23) says nothing will stand in his way to the top

Born in KwaThema, Ignition says he will continue making his star and other talented young people, shine and be recognised by the world.

Ignition formed his entertainment company, ‘Tender loving kids’, eight years ago.

His company has registered more than 30 members between 12 and 80 years old.

He says he started the entertainment company to help develop the talents of the young people of KwaThema.

“The youth from the township have the talent but cannot afford to travel to places like Johannesburg to get people to help them develop their talents,” he says.

He says he believes that with the knowledge and the skills that he has, he will produce the stars of the future.

While busy with dancing for the kwaito and house music artists, Ignition also works in fulfilling his dream of becoming one of the well known dancers and a house-kwaito musician.

“I recently released my single track called ‘Mlume Bobby’,” says Ignition.
He says he is not only a musician and a dancer but he is also an actor.

Ignition is one of the talented up-and-coming actors from KwaThema who appear on TV screens in a youth drama called Loxion Lyric every Wednesdays at 8.30pm.

Ignition and four members from his company left the country yesterday for India and are expected to come back to this country on May 1.

Ignition will be representing South Africa in Mumbai in a dance competition after he got first position during the Africa Best Dancer competition held in Nigeria on April 5.

Before flying back to South Africa, Ignition and the four members will entertain the New Delhi council during a gala dinner event.
