Nomndayi Easter Community Games to take place over Easter weekend

Archaar Boys won the 2023 Nomndayi Easter Games.

Kwa-Thema – The Nomndayi Community Games is ready for its Easter tournament, which takes place from Friday to Monday at the Kwa-Thema Stadium.

Nomndayi had its tournament draw and launch on Saturday on Makhonjwa Street in Kwa-Thema. On Friday and Saturday, there’ll be a tournament knockout with quarter-finals, semi-finals and finals happening on Sunday and Monday.

The soccer matches will take place as follows:

Day 1 – Friday:

  • 09:30 79 FC vs CMR
  • 11:30 Lost Mavericks vs Amapanyaza
  • 13:30 Sundowns vs Tornado Country
  • 15:30 Amavikelambuso vs Lighthouse

Day 2 – Saturday:

  • 09:30 17 Masters vs Khushu Never Die
  • 11:30 Largos vs Siwele
  • 13:30 Metro Star vs Amaramparampa
  • 15:30 Highlanders vs Afro XI

The quarter-finals will be on Sunday, and the semis finals will be on Monday. Archaar Boys won the tournament last year but are participating in another one.

Nomndayi PRO Humphrey Sibande said, “We call on the Kwatsaduza community to come and join the knockout Easter games, netball and soccer, at Kwa Thema Stadium.

“It’s a family sports weekend, so let us unite with our friends and families during the long weekend because entry is free.

“We have great prizes up for grabs, so people must come with their camping chairs and food to enjoy the Nomndayi Community Easter games.”
