Ulinda beats Stars

Ulinda Netball Club beat Tornado Stars in two games.

Kwa-Thema – Ulinda Netball Club beat visitors Tornado Stars in two games on Saturday at the Kwa-Thema Sports Complex.
The games were friendly warm-ups in preparation for the Kwatsaduza Netball League, which starts in March.
Ulinda’s coach, Velly Mokgako, said she was happy with her team’s performance.
“This showed me that the girls are ready for the league because they pulled an outstanding performance despite having trained for only two weeks,” she said.
Mokgako also called for sponsors to assist the team with lunch and transport costs on game days.
“Not every child can afford, therefore, for them to be able to play on full stomachs and without stress, we need all the help we can get,” said Mokgako.
The team is still taking new members who can join their practices on Tuesdays and Thursdays at the sports complex from 15:30 to 17:30.
“We need to do all we can to remove the children from the streets, get them active and participating in sports, which will prevent many bad things,” she said.
The scores on Saturday:
U13: Ulinda 12 – 7 Tornado
U15: Ulinda 18 – 7 Tornado.
Those wanting to assist the team can call Mokgako on 073 235 0380.
