Kwa-Thema lost two games to Mozambique

Mozambique won two T20 games in their practice matches against Kwa-Thema

Kwa-Thema – It was a great practice match for the Mozambican national team when they faced the Kwa-Thema in two T20 games on Saturday at the Kwa-Thema Sports Complex.

Mozambique is preparing for the second edition of the Africa Cricket Association (ACA) T20 Cup which will be taking place at Willowmoore Park in Benoni from December 11 to 19.

In the first game, Mozambique batted first and made 123/7 in 20 overs. Kamogelo Ndlovu dismissed Lorenzo Solomon for the first wicket.

Kwa-Thema failed to reach the target, losing by seven runs. They made 116/9 in 20 overs. In the second game, Kwa-Thema scored 106/8. Chasing the score, Mozambique made 109/4 after 11.3 overs.

Mozambican coach Thomas Pakane said, “Our chances for the ACA tournament are good, we just need to apply ourselves and stick to basics.”

Pakane said the practice match shows that they are ready to face other national teams.
