Kwa-Thema – Young Achievers United Ladies did well in a top 10 tournament hosted by the Ratanda Fast 11 at the Ratanda Stadium over the weekend.
The tournament was the third annual one by the team and had teams from across the region partaking. On Saturday, Young Achievers played four games winning three and drawing one.
The results were:
4-1 against Mbimbos Ladies from Katlehong
3-0 against UNISA Daveyton Campus
2-1 against Letta Stars
0-0 against Ratanda Fast 11.
On Sunday, Young Achievers proceeded to the semi-finals playing against Ratanda Ladies and winning 4-1. They met Mbimbos again in the finals and won 3-0.
Young Achievers coach and chairperson Lazarus Malatji said they are happy about the victory and that they cannot wait for the next season’s women’s regional league where they are gunning to win the league.
