Catch T20 – SA vs Bangladesh

The sides will lock horns in a T20I on December 3 and will face each other again in the last of their three-match ODIs on December 23.

The Momentum Proteas will square off against Bangladesh in two international matches at Willowmoore Park next month.

The sides will lock horns in a T20I on December 3 and face each other again in the last of its three-match ODIs on December 23.

The Proteas will go into the series confidently after beating New Zealand 2-1 in their last ODI series while drawing the T20I series 1-1.

After beating their visitors in their last encounter during the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup in February, Hilton Moreeng’s charges will look to continue their dominance over the team from the sub-continent.

That SA has never lost to Bangladesh in any international series since their first encounter in 2012, where SA won the T20I and ODI series 2-1, will be a huge motivation for Captain Laura Wolvaardt and the team.

They have met each other 10 times in T20 internationals, and SA has won on nine occasions while Bangladesh has only won once.

In the ODIs, they have faced each other 18 times. SA was victorious 16 times and only lost twice.

Another motivation is that Bangladesh has never fared well in SA. They have lost all their internationals played here in their three visits to the country.

Besides the series in 2012, Bangladesh were beaten 3-0 in the T20I and ODIs in the 2016/17 season and were pummelled 5-0 and 3-0, respectively, in the ODI and T20I series in their last visit in 2018.

The first ball for the T20 match at Willowmoore Park will be at 14:00, while the ODI encounter will start at 10:00.
