Kwa-Thema – The Kwa-Thema Disability Club CP Soccer team defended their Festival Cup title at Philip Kushlick School in Soweto on Saturday.
Kwa-Thema won the cup last year and played till the finals this year, where they faced Lindt Development.
The two teams played to a nil draw before Kwa-Thema won 5-4 on penalties. Kwa-Thema coach Aubrey Mathibela said his team’s performance made him happy and proud.
“I thank the parents for their support and for allowing their disabled children to partake in the sport and face the world,” he said.
Phelang Special School came second after losing to Philip Kushlick in the junior finals in the same competition.
