The EGBA won the badminton nationals.

Duduza – The Eastern Gauteng Badminton Association (EGBA) emerged victorious at the U17 SA Nationals in East London held from September 30 to October 6.

Three players under the EGBA were from the Eyethu Badminton Club, and they represented Ekurhuleni and Duduza.

The EGBA fought hard in Group A, which they won before facing a Namibian team in the quarter-finals, a team from Western Cape in the semis and a team from KZN in the finals.

The final game ended in a draw, leading the EGBA to win the championships through a point system.
