TSG win Ekurhuleni Men’s League playoffs

TSG’s first game was against Heidelberg Wolves, which they won 4-0.

Tsakani – A three-year-old team emerged victorious in the Ekurhuleni Men’s League playoffs and will join the league when the season starts in October.

The playoffs took place in Germiston at the Delville Stadium from August 5 to 13, where Tsakane Saint-Germain FC played and won against three teams, leading them to victory.

Their first game was against Heidelberg Wolves, and they won 4-0. They then played Future Stars from Daveyton and again won by 4-0.

Their last game was against Mountain Rovers from Thokoza, which they won 1-0.

Team coach and MD Jabulani Maseko said they were happy to reach the stage they did because they only formed the team in 2020.

“We are still a new team. This win shows we’ve been working hard,” Maseko said.

He said the goal was to (by season-end) qualify to play in the ABC Motsepe League because that was where professional football started.

He also said he was grateful to everyone who had made this possible – the parents for allowing their children to play, the Tsakani community, especially the Ext 11 community, for its support, the players for their dedication and the team management.
