Future looks bright for local soccer stars

Former Ace Auto Ayoba Academy players get signed by Jomo Cosmos.

Kwa-Thema – Ace Auto Ayoba Academy soccer players have been signed to Jomo Cosmos Football Club’s u-15 side.
In 2019, the club signed former Ayoba player Tumelo Mjukulwa (15).
In April, they signed Ntando Tshwana Nhlengethwa (15) during trials held in Johannesburg in April.

Mjekulwa joined Ayoba at the age of seven, while Tshwana Nhlengethwa joined at the age of six.
Both players paid homage to their former team.
“This is the dream for every young player.
“I think once you start playing at a professional level, that’s when you realise the role played by each person who has been part of your journey.

Tumelo Mjukulwa joined Ace Auto Ayoba Academy at the age of seven, while Ntando Tshwana Nhlengethwa joined at the age of six.

“Their contribution to our growth is evident and we are grateful,” explained Nhlengethwa.
He has appeared in six matches since joining the club and said hard work, dedication and practice are vital when it comes to success.

“I see myself playing for the national team and becoming the first black South African to captain Real Madrid,” he said.
Mjukulwa explained that playing for Cosmos was intimidating at first.
He has aspirations to play in the premier league.
Nhlengethwa’s mother, Carolina, is proud of what both players have managed to achieve.
“We have been on this journey with them from the beginning. We have witnessed it all.
“I know how much this opportunity means to them and they are so deserving of it.
“God has been good to us and we are grateful,” she stated.
