Peermont’s Education Trust bursary students shine

“I’m glad we could play our part in assisting them reach their goals,” he said.

Kwatsaduza – Beneficiaries of the Peermont’s Education Trust (PET) demonstrated their mettle by completing their studies and graduating with degrees ranging from accounting to chemical engineering recently.

PET sponsors disadvantaged learners to study towards a variety of qualifications in university and finding employment. It provided the five 2020 graduates with bursaries to further their studies at The University of the Witwatersrand (Wits) and UJ.

Emperors Palace Trust administrator Makomane Ntabo said they are proud of the graduates.

“Education is important in helping to sharpen one’s future. To see these young people accomplish something so special is truly inspirational.

“I’m glad we could play our part in assisting them reach their goals,” he said.

PET chairperson Tshidi Madima added it is admirable to see young people overcome the odds and flourish during such unprecedented times.

“It shows the determination of reaching your goals. That is why we have the trust, to make dreams come true and inspire tomorrow’s generation. Well done to the graduates,” she said.

• Njabulo Nyembe graduated with a mining engineering degree from Wits.

• Phumzile Makhanya graduated with a bachelor of pharmacy degree from Wits.

• Thabo Letsholo graduated with a BSc chemical engineering degree from Wits.

• Daisy Mashego graduated with a BSc biological science degree from Wits.

• Disebo Mapole graduated with a bachelor of accounting degree from UJ.
