Local teams fight for league points

At Ground D, KwaThema United FC were reminded of the importance of daily practice in preparation for weekend matches when they were humiliated with a 0-9 loss against Sibiya FC.

KwaThema – Teams playing in the Springs Local Football League showed off their skills on the pitch at the KwaThema Sports Complex over the weekend, aiming to earn points early in the league.

At Ground A, Sanders United FC played to a 3-2 win against Ace Auto Ayoba in a nail-biting match that saw both teams losing goal opportunities in the first half.

Reedville FC failed to equalise with Jealous Down FC and lost 3-4 by the time the referee blew the final whistle.

Meanwhile, Triple S FC played to a 2-2 draw against Tornado Lions FC, while the Mighty Falcons FC drew 1-1 against Valencia FC.

Happy Angels were dragged through the mud by Springs FC in a 0-3 loss.
