Soccer teams invited to register for the upcoming tournament

KwaThema – Registrations for the third annual Ayoba-Yo under-17 Future Stars tournament are now open.

The cut-off date is November 24, and teams are urged to register as early as possible.

The tournament is open to all the under-17 teams within Ekurhuleni.

Organiser Innocent Mayoyo says: “This year the tournament is going to be more exciting. We are anticipating a positive response from supporters, teams and the community.

“This age group is the most neglected and affected by the social ills within our society.”

The first prize will be a cash prize of R10 000, a trophy, medals and soccer kit.

The second prize is R5 000, medals and soccer. The third prize will be a cash amount of R3 000 and bronze medals.

Fourth place team will receive R2 000 and certificates.

The tournament runs between December 7 and 8 at the KwaThema Sports Complex.

The finals take place on December 14 and 15 at the KwaThema Stadium.
