Home Sweepers take down Nicko Taurus 6-2

KwaThema – Springs Home Sweepers Football Club hosted Nicko Taurus Football Club at KwaThema Stadium on Saturday for the Gauteng Sasol League.

Springs Home Sweepers coach Mkhonza Mkhonzana says: “These might be senior games, but we are focusing on development; hence, the squad for today are all under the age of 20.

“I cannot complain about how the team played today. They have shown great teamwork.”

Two other players from Springs Home Sweepers to look out for are Katlego Mokoena (14), who secured two goals, and Lindiwe Nkambule, who also managed to score a goal for her team.

Head coach for Nicko Taurus Nick Motshwane expressed his disappointment, but remains hopeful.

“Lack of teamwork by the players is the reason we missed out on utilising the opportunities we had

“I think it is a lesson learnt and we are going to work on improving that going forward,” says Motshwane.
