Basketball clinics for the under-13 at KwaThema Sports Complex

“We have been working with the Job Maseko, Kenneth Masikela, Phulong and Theo Thwala primary schools. At the moment poor facilities are a challenge, but we are working towards fixing them so we can roll out a campaign for sports awareness,” says Kunene.

KwaThema – KwaThema Bulls hosted basketball clinics from September 25 to 28, for the under-13, at the KwaThema Sports Complex.

This is part of the programme to create awareness of different sporting codes.

Programme director Thandokuhle Kunene says they have been working with local schools to encourage learners to partake in sporting activities.

“We have been working with the Job Maseko, Kenneth Masikela, Phulong and Theo Thwala primary schools.

The organisation plans to host a senior tournament at the sports complex in December. Clinics for sports development are due to take place at the beginning of next year.

The opportunity to participate in the trials is open to the community of Kwatsaduza.
