Ekurhuleni Goodwill Committee is inviting teams to participate in its annual festive tournament, Defy Ekurhuleni Games, under the theme Celebrating the Legacy of Nelson Mandela through Sport.
The tournament will start on December 16 and continue until December 30 at KwaThema Sports Complex and Stadium.
The activities include boxing, netball and soccer for males and females.
Junior teams, u-13 and u-15, are also invited to participate in this year’s tournament.

The registration fees and age categories for the tournament vary.
“Please note that only u-11 and u-15 men’s soccer teams from Springs, Nigel and Brakpan LFA’s will be allowed to participate in the tournament.
“As in previous years, once your booking has been confirmed no refund will be considered should any team(s) be withdrawn from the competition.
“The closing date for all registrations is December 9,” explains Pule Malefane, the president of the committee.
