Young players celebrated during award ceremony

“It doesn’t help us to have young naturally talented people who are not being given the opportunities to master the sports and to become better sportsmen.”

KwaThema – Ace Auto Ayoba Football Club celebrated their 10th anniversary in a certificate award ceremony at KwaThema Community Hall on Saturday.

The event was held to celebrate and honour young players and local business people who continue to support the team whenever there is a need to provide help.

Team founder and coach Innocent Mayoyo said it was befitting to host the event to celebrate the achievement of young players.

The coach said he was happy that the team had enjoyed success, and that some players had travelled overseas to attend workshops and tournaments with the support of local business people.

“We are calling on parents to encourage their children to participate in sports.

“It doesn’t help to have naturally talented young people who are not given an opportunities to become better sportsmen.

“They must join their peers to be groomed by skilled coaches,” said Mayoyo.
