KwaThema – Vusimuzi Radinne is a local sports coach from KwaThema who despite all disadvantages of disability, went against all odds to make something out of his life.

Radinne grew up living with a poor eyesight, a speech impediment and epileptic seizures.

This made him and his family to move around KwaTsaduza seeking for a place that would be comfortable for him, and the best school for people living with his condition.

After a constant change of schools, his family found a school that would not only be comfortable for him but also to stir up a passion for sport, something he never new resided in him.

Radinne says it is sport that has helped him to overcome negativity.

He played soccer in his new school, Usizolwethu Primary School in Daveyton.

This opened doors for him to participate in different tournaments until he eventually started coaching the

u-13s.

He moved back to KwaThema where he continued as a football coach.

He saw a sporting gap in kwaThema.

Sport in the townships is not always taken seriously as compared to how it is regarded in the suburbs.

His vision was to have a facility that incorporates different sporting codes.

Currently he mentors over 40 boys he motivates to focus in different sporting activities.

This year, on November 17, will mark the first anniversary of his team – and the achievement of a dream as a coach.

On this day, the the coach will host an anniversary to celebrate the initiative he started. This will take place at Nbada Tree, KwaThema.

He is thankful to people who supported his initiative, and the teams that supported his venture.

The coach dreams of a well resourced academy where children can learn life skills through sports.

To make his dream to become a reality, he needs a sponsorship.

He will be grateful for any help companies may offer to help grow his project.

He also wants to partner with other youth academies to share information and to impart skills .
