Vuzimuzi says he identified that there is a gap for netball in the area and many young women didn’t have anything to do after school and on weekends.

“I decided to call some of the girls from primary schools in the area to form the team because I am a trained netball coach and didn’t want my skills to go to waste.

“One of our biggest challenges is that because we are a new team we don’t have sporting equipment and I am often forced to dig into my own pockets to buy balls and pay for the travelling cost to the games.
