Practice for Two Oceans and Comrades

KwaThema Striders are taking every opportunity to get their team ready for the Comrades Marathon and the Two Oceans Marathon.

Kwathema – Striders remain on track as they prepare for the two major marathons later in the year.

As part of their Two Oceans and Comrades preparations, the KwaThema Striders participated in the Secunda 3-in-1 race series recently.

This involves competing in three races on the same day.

The events began with a 42km race at 6am, followed by a 21km at 1pm and 10km at 5pm.

The total distance covered is 73km.

“The race is a good conditioner for the ultimate human race and for the rest of the year,” explains Sbongiseni Skhosana, athlete and public relations officer of the club.
