Local junior coaches trained in coaching

KwaThema – Local Junior coaches attended a seven-day premier skills coaching first phase at the Pretoria High Performance Centre recently.
The workshop was facilitated by Premier League (England) Newcastle and Middlesbrough Football Club coaches.
Soccer coach Innocent Mayoyo says the main focus of the workshop was to focus on grassroots and community coaching.
“ The coaches will be conducting similar workshops during the festive period from December 11 to 15 focusing on theory and practicals in conjunction with the local football head of youth development.
” We are hoping that they will use the knowledge they acquire to improve the state of soccer in our area.
“We cannot continue outsourcing services of coaches from other areas while we have young people who are eager and ready to acquire the skill.
“ We are grateful for the opportunity and hope our young coaches will absorb as much as they can during the workshops,” he says.
