“The game ended in a draw. Lebu-Moremi was the top scorer – he scored 32 runs in 5 overs,“ he says.

Tshepo says that they are proud of the players for the dedication and determination they showed to the game.

“Through these games we will be able to produce more black players (especially in townships) who will one day play in the national teams and internationally,” he says.

Tshepo says that they want to keep the children off the streets and away from drugs by keeping them busy playing sport. He adds that the hub also offers cricket courses to enable the players to become umpires, scorers, coaches, administrators and cricket managers.

“We have 12 primary schools that play the sport in the area with only four primary schools that feed to the Duduza Cricket Hub.
