They are covered in long grass and can no longer be used.
Soccer coach Andrious Moroki says that the grounds have not been scrubbed since before winter last year.
“I have reported the matter to the municipality four times and they provided me with a reference number.

“They promised to clean the ground within three days but months later we are still waiting,” he says.
Soccer player Lebogang Rantlha says that they are now forced to share one soccer pitch with five other teams during daily practices.
“It is difficult at times because there is not enough space to cater for all of us.
“This leads to teams fighting over space,” he says.
Lebogang says that it would be better if they were told the reasons behind the grounds not being scrubbed.

“We would know, and not expect the municipality to clean them,” he says.
Ekurhuleni spokesman Themba Gadebe says that the municipality has been experiencing challenges with the acquisition of the grader to grade the grounds around Duduza and the surrounding areas.
“However, council is making means to speedily attend to the matter.
“It has been agreed that on completion of the current workload in both KwaThema and Langaville, it will start at Duduza with effect from Monday, March 13, 2017,” he says.
