Weekend LFA results

Kwatsaduza - Sixteen soccer teams showcased their soccer skills on the pitch last weekend during the Premier League division Springs Local Football Association (SLFA) games.

The secretary of the SLFA, Ace Mashalaba, says the teams played at the KwaThema Stadium and Sports Complex Ground.

He shared some of the results.

The kick-off was between Springs Home Sweepers and Nkele Smiling Bees FC, who played to a 1-1 draw.

The Reed Ville United FC locked horns with Eleven Experience, sweeping them to a 3-1 loss.

The Boca Juniors played to a 2-2 draw with Young Peace Brothers.

The Down Town FC lost 0-3 to Sanders United.

Valencia FC was humiliated on the pitch, losing 1-6 to Lusitano FC.

The Ampie Vultures played to a 2-2 draw with the Tornado Lions FC.

The Young Masters FC lost 0-2 to the Home Defenders FC.

The ABC FC won 2-0 while playing with the Happy Angels FC.

Ace says that the SLFA will be hosting the SAFA Ekurhuleni U-15 and U-17 TOP 8 tournament this Saturday.

“The games will start from 10am at the KwaThema Sports Complex.

“The LFA has suspended its junior’s fixtures for this coming Saturday to give space to the tournament as host,” he says.

Ace says that they request all soccer-loving people to come in numbers to support the one-day event.

“This is evidence of our hard work as the LFA and this proves beyond doubt that our hard work is also being recognised at the regional level, hence the tournament,” he says.
