RDP and Verbal Warning play to a draw

KwaThema – To round off the Tsamaya League season, RDP took on Verbal Warning in the final league match.

The game played at the KwaThema Extension Two Legacy Ground on Sunday was a showcase of competitive playing.

RDP, who were top of the log, went into the game with 63 points in hand while Verbal Warning was in second place with 57 points.

Both sides were eager to win. However, they missed numerous chances at goal in both halves of the match.

And at some points in the game, disgruntled Verbal Warning players had altercations with the referee as they did not agree with a number of his decisions.

The game ended in a fruitless 0-0 draw at the end of the 90 minutes.

RDP were therefore crowned champions of the season. They were awarded medals, a floating trophy and kit.

Verbal Warning received medals and soccer balls. World XI, who took third spot, walked away with bronze medals.
