Bolton Villa thrash Springs Home Sweepers

KwaThema – In a friendly match to challenge the Springs Home Sweepers u/15 girls’ side, a game against Bolton Villa’s u/15 boys’ side was organised at the KwaThema Sports Complex on Saturday.

Bolton went on to thrash Springs Home Sweepers in a disappointing 6-1 score. The game started off in favour of the girls as they displayed sheer football skills, convincing fans that they stood a chance against their opposition.

But minutes into the game, Bolton secured the first goal courtesy of Olwethu Mabena, who later was awarded a penalty after an obstruction on him in the goal-scoring area.

Trailing behind the boys, Home Sweepers badly wanted to equalise but to their dismay another goal was secured by Bolton’s Quinton Mabena to end the first stanza.

In the second half, nothing much changed. Bolton continued to dominate the ball possession.

Three more goals were secured by Bolton before Home Sweepers managed to register the first and last goal for their side, ending the game in a 6-1 win to Bolton.
