KwaThema u/13 squad particate in tournament
KwaThema - A group of 20 u/13 boys selected from various teams in the area, are currently competing in the Ekurhuleni Youth Tournament.
The week-long competition taking place at the Duduza Stadium is an initiative organised by the Ekurhuleni Metro in conjunction with SAFA Ekurhuleni.

Local coach Mkhonzana Mkhonza says the KwaThema boys were selected from different clubs belonging to the Springs Local Football Association.
“Purpose of the initiative is to give children a chance to compete with other academies, areas and players from some schools of excellence in their age group.
“Through it, players are also able to keep off the streets during the school holidays while also providing them with an opportunity to improve on their skills.
“So far our KwaThema squad, has done really well because when we played against Siputla Stars on Monday they won 2-1.

“Furthermore in our second game, when we competed against Clever Boys our boys won 6-0, so we are very proud of them,” he says.
In these two matches KwaThema’s, Ntsiza Kunene won man of the match in the first game while Siphesihle Twala also from KwaThema, won the same accolade in the second game after having scored four goals in that match.
