Home Defenders get schooled

KwaThema – Multi Falcons hammered Home Defenders 11-2 in a friendly match on Saturday.

The two Springs Local Football Association teams competed at the KwaThema Sports Complex.

And as the whistle blew to kick off the first half proceedings, Multi Falcons registered the first three goals for the day, scored by Katlego Maupa (13) and the next two by Tebogo Ngidi (13).

This was shortly followed by the goal by Home Defenders Lehlohonolo Mohlala (14), after the ball slipped through the hands of Multi Falcons keeper Siyabonga Mbatha (11).

Ready to dig their opponents deeper into a hole, Falcons Nkosinathi Mabuza (13), Thabiso Manana (13), Vuyolwethu Ndingeni (13) and Bandile Mazilazila (13) scored back-to-back goals which ended the first half at 7-1.

As the boys returned to the field, it remained evident that Multi Falcons were dominating in this game.

And accompanied with skills and tactical moves, they continued packing in the goals.

Manana was able to score his eighth goal for his team.

Shortly after that, keeper Mabatha got a chance to score a penalty for Falcons, which added a goal to the score sheet for his side.

Then at about 30 minutes Mazilazila scored his second goal putting Falcons at 10.

Home Defenders, eager to catch up, sneaked in a goal that was made possible by Khutso Napo (12).

However, a few minutes before the final whistle saw Ndingeni making his mark again, with the 11th goal for his side.
