Verbal Warning shame Masimini

KwaThema – It was a disappointing moment for Masimini fans last Sunday during the Tsamaya League, when Verbal Warning thrashed Masimini 5-0.

Verbal Warning had a field day as they walked all over Masimini, not giving them even one opportunity to shine.

The standard was set right from the beginning of the match as Verbal Warning players showed impeccable football skills, proving they still have what it takes to be the team to beat.

In the first stanza two goals were scored by Verbal Warning’s John Nkosi and Sipho Matheko, which made Masimini more frustrated to get goals in. But after many attempts to equalise, the stanza ended in a lead for Verbal Warning.

Masimini supporters still had faith in their team, hoping for a more fruitful second half.

Minutes into the second half Wendy Dube wasted no time in netting a goal to extend the lead.

The fans started to disperse as they saw their team wasn’t in formation and was allowing goal opportunities to pass them by.

Verbal Warning used Masimini’s weakness to their advantage as they saw they were giving up before the match ended.

Nkosi utilised all the goal opportunities presented to him and scored two more goals for his side before the referee blew the whistle to end the match.

Verbal Warning won with a clean 5-0 score, leaving Masimini out of excuses for their poor performance.
