Buffalos, however, were not prepared to go down without a fight and, in about 20 minutes,Siyabonga Gyozombane (12) managed to score the equalising goal for his side.
The second stanza saw both sides playing mostly at the centre, however, the Defenders ruled this half, as they were more eager to take the lead.
Alon Tlale (12) managed to use his chance, which put Home Defenders in the lead.
Numerous attempts by Buffalos to up their score were unsuccessful, leaving the final score at 2-1.
