Kwatsaduza squad beat Highlands Park

Kwatsaduza - The newly selected LFA squad comprising players from the ABC Motsepe League and SAB League, took on Highlands Park MDC.

The game which saw the local boys crowned winners for the day, took place at the Duduza Stadium on Sunday.

The match showed brilliant skills from both sides as the teams fought hard for victory.

Highlands however failed to utilise some scoring opportunities they had created within the first half.

These missed chances soon cost them, as the home squad began to dominate the space.

Reginald ‘Katekana’ Mahlangu (21) of Kwatsaduza punched in the opening goal 15 minutes into the game, putting the host team in the lead.

The score remained unchanged till the whistle blew at half-time.

The fight continued in the second stanza, with supporters keeping the spirit alive as they cheered on the local team.

Highlands again created goal opportunities, but these were blocked by the strong defence exhibited by the Kwatsaduza squad.

Moments later, with Highlands failing to secure an equalising goal, the home side bagged another goal by Emmanuel Madinda (21) which extended Kwatsaduza’s lead.

The intense match ended with victory for the local players, with a score of 2-0.
