Nelly Stars FC remain confident after loss

KwaThema - Nelly Stars FC, which is a development team of local Home Sweepers FC, battled it out against Luso Africa FC.

This crucial encounter took place at the KwaThema Sports Complex.

The girls’ teams battled it out in a tough regional league match on Saturday. It was a challenging but balanced first half as both sides were eager to walk away victorious.

The home team struggled to utilise their opportunities to get the ball into the net.

Luso, on the other hand, found it even harder breaking the defence of their opponents, despite numerous shots on target which could have given them the necessary goals.

Half-time ended on that dry note for both sides.

In the second half both sides knew they had to up their game and this showed in their sense of urgency to score.

Halfway through this stanza saw Luso being awarded a free kick which lead to Sabrina Martins (16), scoring the much-needed goal for the away side.

The match ended at a score of 1-0.
