Multi Falcons thrash Jealous Down

KwaThema - It was a good end to the season for Multi Falcons FC, when they walked away with a win, after thrashing their opponents in their last league encounter, on Saturday.

The u/13 team played against Jealous Down FC, in a Springs Local Football Association League game, at the KwaThema Sports Complex.

The first half bore no fruit as players from both teams attempted to score, but missed out on crucial chances.

This pushed both sides to be more consistent in their defence as they had to ensure no goals ended at either end of the field.

As half time drew to an end, all the coaches and players could hope for was just a lucky break, so they could at least get one goal to take the lead.

In the second half, players seemed more focused and, after just a few minutes on the field, the Falcons registered their first goal, courtesy of Thabiso Manana (12).

Then, within about 20 minutes, the Falcons’ Bonginkosi Ngwenya (12) extended the team’s lead with yet another goal.

All Jealous Down could do at this point was to tighten their defence and work on moving more balls to the front, in the hope of scoring to catch up.

That dream was, however, short-lived, as Ngwenya scored the third goal for his team.

This allowed the Falcons to walk away with a win and three points, and to end the season at number four, while, for Jealous Down, it was back to the drawing board for next season, as they left with a loss and at number 14 on the log.
