Mgidi to represent the province

KwaThema - The KwaThema Disability Sports Academy is proud to announce that one of its own athletes will be heading off to represent the province in the upcoming South African School Sport National Championships.

This comes after Bongani Mgidi (17) competed at the trials, which were hosted at Ezibeleni Secondary School recently, where he qualified to be part of the Cerebral Palsy Soccer team, which will be heading off to Durban to partake in the championships from July 6 to 15.

The chairman of the academy, Aubrey Mathibela, shares that this is a great honor for Mgidi to be going to represent the academy and the province.

“As a team we are very proud of this young man, as this is a huge accomplishment in his sporting career.

“He is a great striker and we hope he can at least get a scholarship which can open doors for him to go on to becoming an international star.

“This success also shows other young people that’s hard work, dedication and determination does pay off,” he says.
