Ayoba loses the league

KwaThema – Ace Auto Ayoba finished third in the 2015/2016 SAB League season which came to an end last Sunday at the KwaThema Stadium.

In their last league match Ayoba took on Bolivia where they drew 3-3 in what proved to be a tough match for both sides.

Bolivia gave Ayoba a run for their money in the first stanza as they managed to register two goals minutes into the match.

Ayoba tried to equalise but failed after Jacob Xaba only managed to score one goal before half-time.

Going into the second half there was no stopping Bolivia in their quest to thrash the KwaThema team.

They scored their third goal to extend the lead, leaving Ayoba fans disappointed.

As they were on the quest to beat one of the strongest team in the league, Bolivia went on to score two own goals for Ayoba, ending the match in a 3-3 draw.

Innocent Mayoyo, technical director, says they are very disappointed to have lost the league and finished third.

“We really wanted to be the season champions but nevertheless the players really did well this season, finishing third with 75 points.

“There is room for improvement and we are sure to be champions next season,” adds Mayoyo.

The league champions are the Tembisa Sports and in second position is Corinthians FC.
