Juventus lose to Ayoba
KwaThema - The SAB League match between Ace Auto Ayoba and Juventus took place at KwaThema Stadium last Sunday, where Ayoba took the 2-0 victory.
The win gives Ayoba 47 points, trailing right after the top team on the log.
The match proved to be a tough one for Juventus as the players struggled to get the ball behind Ayoba‘s goalkeeper. Ayoba was on a roll as Andile Meshack scored the first goal minutes into the first half, putting pressure on Juventus.
Juventus tried to get position but Ayoba’s players were too fast for them, and Samuel Makofane extended the lead with another goal before the end of the first half.
Going into the second half, Ayoba made it tough for Juventus to score, despite many attempts.
Juventus changed its strategy and picked up the pace, seeking a goal to equalise.
Ayoba made it impossible for Juventus to score against it, by attacking and owning the ball.
The match ended with a 2-0 win for Ayoba.
Ayoba coach Percy Legodi said he was happy with the team’s efforts but the players had a lot of work to do before they could win the league.
“Our aim is to win the league this season, and with 19 games left, we have to put in the work,” he said.
