Striders ready for marathons

Team coach, Kodisang Maruping says the 42 km challenge was a form of practice for their upcoming marathons that will be taking place next month.

“It is good practices for athletes to compete before a big marathon, it tells them exactly where they are in terms of fitness and mental strength,” says the coach.

The team also wants to promote healthy living within the community and they urge people to come and join the club.

“Our doors are still open should any person want to join our club, all are welcome,” says Maruping.

The Striders will be participating in the Deloitte Marathon in Tshwane and Om Die Dam Marathon in Haartesbespoort in March.
