A mistake costs Tsakane

Tsakane – It was a good day at the office for RDP as they walked away victorious after winning 1-0 on Sunday during the Tsamaya Top Eight Knockout second round of the quarter finals.

The game was played at the Malandela Ground in Tsakane and within 10 minutes of the first half a crucial mistake by Tsakane saw Sipho Vece scoring an own goal.

RDP did not waste time and made sure they capitalised on this mistake by making several attempts at scoring some goals of their own within those first few minutes of the first half.

These attempts, however, proved fruitless as they missed some shots and no goals were put behind the net.

As the match drew close to the end of the first half, Tsakane came back fighting to equalise but struggled due to the defence of RDP.

By half time the score remained unchanged.

The second half of the game gained new tempo as Tsakane came in with more fighting spirit as they aimed for more shots at goal.

RDP, however, did not make this a smooth ride for them, as they trapped and blocked several attempts by their opponents.

They also fought to increase their score but Tsakane tightened their defence to ensure they did not repeat the same mistake that had already cost them the game.

At the end of the day, RDP were happy to walk away with the free goal handed to them on a silver platter.
