Muso: Soccer star in the making

Duduza - Setjhaba "General" Muso is not your average soccer player, as he is the man needed to build up the perfect goal.

The African All Star midfielder has a remarkable record in the soccer industry, having played for both Mpumalanga Black Aces and Pretoria’s Ama Tuks.

“Soccer is my life, it is the only thing I have known since I could kick the ball,” he says.

Muso is a favourite in his community, as his outstanding passes secures goals for his team.

Having played for big teams, the avid soccer player says he is ready to play at the national level and grow his career in soccer.

“The soccer industry is hard, especially when you don’t have an agent to advise you and get good deals for you.

“We have the issue of contracts not being renewed and have to go back to playing locally,” says the midfielder.

His plans involve him going back to school to study sports management.

“In soccer you always need a backup plan, because you can’t play soccer for the rest of your life,” he says.

He adds that this year he wants to see his current team going to the National First Division (NFD).

“It is high time we have a local team in the NFD and that is one of my and teams mates’ aspirations,” Muso concludes.
