KwaThema beaten on home ground

KwaThema – KwaThema Cricket Club’s u/12 team lost their match at home against Springs Old Boys juniors.

The match was played at the KwaThema Sport Complex on Saturday.

The KwaThema team was short of players and Springs Old Boys offered two of their players to play on the local side.

KwaThema won the toss and decided to bat first.

Njabulo Dlamini (12) hit 33 runs and Phakamani Dhamini (12) hit 20 runs.

The duo had a partnership that produced 50 runs in total.

After the pair were bowled out, however, things took a turn for the worst.

At the end of innings. KwaThema had only managed to score 82 runs, all out.

Springs Old Boys did not disappoint and gave the locals a run for their money.

They managed to beat KwaThema with 83 runs in only four wickets.
