Youth encouraged to take up karate

Tsakane - Sensei Linda Ngubane (42), from the Tsakane Karate Club, is proud that 15 of his students will be graduating on October 24 in Katlehong.

He says this is a big achievement for his students.

“When we first started I had a large number of students, but many left. The fact that these few have shown excellence and will be graduating to a higher level, makes me proud as an instructor,” says Ngubane.

He invites young and old to join his karate classes.

Classes are held weekdays from 5pm to 7pm at Buhle Bemfundo Secondary School.

There is also a class on Saturdays from 8.30am to 11.30am.

“I want more young people to come join the class so we can curb the rise of crime and substance abuse in the community,” says Ngubane.
