Skoomboys find themselves at the mercy of Verbal Warning

KwaThema – Verbal Warning thrashed Skoomboys 4-0 in a Tsamaya League match that took place at the Tlakula Grounds on Sunday.

Verbal Warning appeared more confident at the start of the first half of the match and five minutes into the game, Jabulani Masango scored the first goal for Verbal Warning.

In about 18 minutes, Verbal Warning’s Sandile Pooe put in the second goal of the day.

After that the Skoomboys composed themselves and started putting forward a united front, defending more and attempting more shots at goals.

Verbal Warning, however, made sure that Skoomboys remained off the score board.

Skoomboys tried numerous times to attempt a goal before the end of the first half, but were unsuccessful.

In the second half, both teams seemed hungrier for victory with Verbal Warning wanting to maintain the lead in the match while the Skoomboys just wanted to catch up in goals.

A third goal was put into the back of the net by Verbal Warning’s Mzobo Nkosi, 25 minutes into the second half.

Skoomboys tried to intensify defence pressure, but Bongani ‘Chaklas’ Khoba of Verbal Warning, proved to be too fast, scoring the last goal of the match in the last five minutes of the game.
