During the first half, both teams were seen to struggle to play on the wet ground, but, as the minutes went by, RDP sought a goal.
Bheki Mahlangu (39) managed to net the first goal of the match, putting RDP in the lead.
Going into the second half, Highland showed more determination to get an equaliser, after a bad performance during the first half.
To Highland’s dismay, RDP’s Molefe Molefe (38) was granted a penalty shot after he was tackled by Highland players, and he shot the ball right into the net.
Highland didn’t give up, even though they were two goals behind, and Shima Kekane (35) managed to score a goal for them, immediately after RDP’s penalty shot.
RDP, not wanting Highland to score an equaliser, attacked forcefully and Thabiso Murumo (34) scored the third goal for them.
As the match was coming to an end, Highland fans were disappointed and Kekane scored an unexpected goal, that ended the game with a 3-2 score.
