Ayoba suspends four senior players

KwaThema - Four of Ace Auto Ayoba's senior players have been suspended and are expected to appear before the team's disciplinary committee before the end of next week.

The players each received a letter of suspension over the weekend.

According to the team’s technical director, Innocent Mayoyo, their suspension came after they failed to attend the team’s training sessions for two weeks.

This is during the time when players in the SAB League and SLFA’s premier division are training to prepare for the start of the new seasons, within the next few weeks.

Mayoyo says there are rumours that the suspended players are training with one of the local teams, that play in the ABC Motsepe League.

He adds that what the players did is against the rules and regulations with regard to leaving the team.

“If they want to leave the team and join other teams, that should be done in a proper and accepted way between the teams,” says fuming Mayoyo.

He says Ayoba’s work is to develop talent and to let the players follow their dreams by joining teams which play in the next level.

However, he adds, his team will not allow misconduct and a lack of respect from the players.

Mayoyo says local teams and the players need to understand and respect the rules that need to be followed in order to give clearance to the players and everything else involved in the players joining other teams.
