Chiefs supporters honour Madiba

Tsakane - The Nigel branch of Kaizer Chiefs Supporters made donations to children at Pholosong Hospital, on Saturday.

They visited the hospital dressed in their team colours and distributed clothes,, to put smiles on the faces of more than 50 children in the ward.

Speaking on behalf of the supporters, chairman Alfred Moshani says they felt the need to give back to the community by visiting sick children and giving them something to allow them to forget about the pain they are suffering.

“We believe that, in order for children to recover quickly, they need to know that there are people who care about them,” he explains, adding that, because former South African President Nelson Mandela loved children, their donation was also meant to encourage the community to ensure that they honour Madiba’s love for youngsters.

One of the children who received clothes is 10-year-old Musa Zondi, who thanked the Kaizer Chiefs supporters for showing love and care.
