The tournament that kicked off on June 27, came to an end at the Duduza Stadium in Monakali Street when the Tsetse Monate Football Club beat Germiston Destroyers 2-0 in the final.
After an interesting tournament Tsetse Monate proved to be the cream of the soccer crop taking the cup in a well deserved victory.
The players of Tsetse Monate are from around Ekurhuleni and the team is coached by 22-year-old Mabine Sibeko.
From the onset of the match, it was clear that Tsetse Monate wanted to walk away with the trophy and be crowned as the first tournament champions.
After numerous attempts at goal, captain Thembinkosi Bashini Mbamba (19), managed to net the first goal of the match. Tsetse Monate secured the ball position throughout the first half.
The second half was more intense as spectators showed enthusiasm for their local team on the brink of victory.
Germiston Destroyers tried their best to get the ball past the goalkeeper but the opposition proved too strong.
Sthembiso Matikiti (20), secured the win for Tsetse Monate when he netted the second goal for the local team.
