Young boxers to battle it out
KwaThema -Eight young boxers from the Geo Maroon Boxing Club will be fighting in a junior boxing tournament in Boksburg this weekend.
Xolani Zulu (13), Siyabulela Vikisa (13), Smangele Radebe (13), Isaac Nkosi (13), Sabelo Nzwanzwa (13), Sifiso Cele (13), Tumelo Matseme (13) and Aron Zulu (13) have been training hard for the tournament.
Vikisa says he has never lost a fight since joining the club three years ago.
“I know when I grow up, I will not just be a boxer but the one who registers only wins under his name,” says a confident Siya.
Coach and founder of the club, Themba Zulu, is also confident the boys will grow up to be the best boxers in the country.
He says the boys are working hard and looking forward to making Kwatsaduza proud at the tournament.
Zulu thanks the parents of these young boxers for their support.
The tournament will be held tomorrow (Saturday) at Tony Green Hall, in Pritchard Street, Boksburg, from 9am.
