‘Pola Bear’s’ fight of fights
KwaThema - Local boxer Luyanda 'Polar Bear' Jako (32) is confident he will win his fight against Roman Zhailauov from Khazakstan.
The Welterweight contenders will take to the ring at Emperors Palace on June 6.
Jako is a boxer from the Geo Maroon Boxing Club, and the upcoming bout is one of the biggest in which a boxer from the club has ever participated.
He says he has been training hard to prepare for the fight, and is in the gym twice a day.
“I want to ensure that I am fit enough for the eight rounds,” he says.
He has confidently promised residents of Kwatsaduza that he will win by knockout in the second round.
His coach Themba Zulu also believes Jako will win.
The match will take place in the Centre Court at 6.30pm.
