Ayoba lead over Movers

Local soccer fans came out in numbers to witness the battle between Ace Auto Ayoba and Movers last Saturday.

Tsakane –

The first half saw both teams fighting to score first.

Both teams; defense was strong, making it hard for the players to get the ball anywhere near the posts.

Minutes into the game, Clarcke Qwele (22), team captain of Ayoba, seized an opportunity and scored.

Movers tried to equalise before the end of the first half, but with no luck.

In the second half, both teams came on to the field with a different strategy.

Movers wanted an equaliser, but Ayoba wanted to maintain their 1-0 lead.

Ayoba upped their game, and Qwele scored another goal just minutes before the final whistle was blown.

In the end, Movers were unable to get a single goal past Ayoba’s goal keeper.

Ayoba coach Innocent Mayoyo was impressed with his players performance, and the 2-1 win.

“I’m happy to see the progress they have made,” he says.

“This is our first season and we are already on the top of the log.”
